Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate and complete financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries

  • Manage the cashflows and maintain proper records including payout approvals

  • Lead accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

  • Direct and oversee comprehensive budget planning and financial forecasting operations

  • Act as the principal liaison for both internal and external audits while addressing all related inquiries

  • Utilize and manage financial operations within QuickBooks, banking payroll platforms, and Coupa

  • Collaborate with USA teams to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Supervise and train accounting staff, including performance evaluations and career development

  • Implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy

  • Work with a forward-thinking USA accountancy practice that embraces the latest cloud technology and modern accounting processes


Shift: 9.00am - 6.00pm

Location: Battaramulla (On-Site)


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field, CA / CIMA, CMA, ACCA preferred

  • At least 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with at least 2 years in the similar role

  • Working knowledge of tax and statutory compliance in Sri Lanka and USA Preferred

  • Strong mastery of accounting standards, GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting.

  • Working experience in Quickbook accounting package.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Enthusiastic, self-driven and possess the ability to perform under minimum supervision.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to deal with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Sense of urgency and deadline driven.
