Job Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate and complete financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries
Manage the cashflows and maintain proper records including payout approvals
Lead accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Direct and oversee comprehensive budget planning and financial forecasting operations
Act as the principal liaison for both internal and external audits while addressing all related inquiries
Utilize and manage financial operations within QuickBooks, banking payroll platforms, and Coupa
Collaborate with USA teams to ensure accuracy and compliance
Supervise and train accounting staff, including performance evaluations and career development
Implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy
Work with a forward-thinking USA accountancy practice that embraces the latest cloud technology and modern accounting processes
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field, CA / CIMA, CMA, ACCA preferred
At least 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with at least 2 years in the similar role
Working knowledge of tax and statutory compliance in Sri Lanka and USA Preferred
Strong mastery of accounting standards, GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting.
Working experience in Quickbook accounting package.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Enthusiastic, self-driven and possess the ability to perform under minimum supervision.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to deal with both internal and external stakeholders.
Sense of urgency and deadline driven.
