Associate Front-End Engineer – React.js/Next.js

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web applications using React.js, Next.js, TypeScript and JavaScript.

  • Work with senior engineers to design and implement user-facing features for web and mobile platforms.

  • Support the development of scalable, reliable, and maintainable front-end solutions.

  • Write clean, reusable, and well-tested code following best practices.

  • Fix bugs, improve performance, and enhance existing features.

  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.

  • Learn and follow company standards for security, performance, and quality.

  • Assist in debugging production issues and supporting live systems.

  • Leverage AI-powered engineering tools, coding assistants, and AI agents to improve development productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and problem-solving workflows.


Location: Battaramulla (Hybrid)
US Time (5:00 PM – 2:00 AM SL Time) and the US Calendar


What We’re Looking For

  • Basic to good knowledge of React.js and Next.js

  • Understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, REST APIs

  • Basic knowledge of Git and version control

  • Willingness to learn and work with modern web technologies

  • Good English communication skills and a team-player mindset


Bonus if you have:

  • Knowledge or experience in Java would be a strong added advantage.

  • Basic exposure to GraphQL

  • Experience with Node.js

  • Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes

  • Experience working on E-commerce or subscription-based systems


Job Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack development

  • (or fresh graduates with strong project experience)

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle

  • Passion for learning, coding, and building digital products

  • Ability to work on US Time (5:00 PM – 2:00 AM SL Time) and US Calendar

  • Willingness to work in Hybrid Mode – Battaramulla
